Yukialani

Born and raised in NY, schooled in Tokyo, and resides in Hawaii for over 20 years. Early on, Classically trained on piano by Julliard Professors Miyoko Lotto and Albert Lotto, versed in ballet, tap, and jazz dance from Chorus Line instructor. Also trained with Vocal Professor Kevin Burke from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC. In Hawaii studied one on one with America’s top songwriters at the Mele Songwriter’s workshop.

 

After studying and learning from local musicians in Hawaii such as John Cruz and Eugene Matsumura from Country Comfort, and honing her skills at Open Mic Nights for Acoustic Artists, playing with various bands for church and parties, and writing all her recorded songs, some with co-writer Eugene Matsumura, Yukialani launched her music career.

 

Released first album Beautiful Life, and is a Hawaii Music Award winner. Her album was played on radio stations across Japan and in Hawaii, is available on Amazon, and has a steady presence on Pandora and Spotify with listeners worldwide.  She has also toured Japan playing for thousands per venue in Osaka, Nagoya, Gunma, Ginza, etc. She continues to create original, warm sounding music, spreading the aloha spirit from Hawaii.
