Robert M. Mondoy

Robert M. Mondoy (b. 1952) was raised on Moloka’i and first learned piano at age 7.

Graduating from the University of Hawai’i with a Bachelor’s in Music Piano Performance Degree in 1976, he continued at San Francisco State University to complete a Masters in Music Theory and Composition.
 
As a church musician,  he has directed the music ministry as St. John Vianney for 40 years, and also serves as the music consultant to the Diocese of Honolulu.
Robert frequently performs concerti with various O’ahu community orchestras, and continues to compose for piano, voice and orchestra. His numerous compositions can be found at www. mondoymusic.com

Rev. Takamasa Yamamura

Rev. Yamamura is the head minister of Honolulu Myohoji Mission. He was born as the 25th generation descendant of the famous master swordsmith Masamune in Japan. 

He has earned a Diploma from Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, Italy. (2006), a Rotary International Foundation Scholarship. His operatic debut was at the New National Theater in Tokyo as Elvino in “La Sonnambula”(2002).
Master class with Mirella Freni (2006). His debut in Europe was at the Rome Opera Festival in as Don Basilo of “Le nozze di Figaro” in (2007).
Soon after he made his way to Honolulu. As part of the Hawaii Opera Theater, he was Rodolfo of “La Boheme. He has performed at the Hawaii Opera Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Gala Concert and HOT’s Opera Ball. He was introduced in the article of magazine of Japan Airline and Hawaiian Airline. At the Japanese Consulate in Honolulu, he has performed on numerous occasions the national anthems for the Emperor’s birthday. He is a first Japanese student of Maestro José
